The Early Months...

An early morning scene
The first few months of a new year, a clean page, opened by cold winds and frosty mornings.

I always seem to struggle with January and February, there is a great push to start the year and great momentum, but the weather doesn't allow anything to happen. The small stretch in the evenings are a small light, knowing that these dark days are slowly fading.

We entered this year slowly, welcomed three new sheep, planned while patiently waiting for the soil to warm, and busying ourselves with our dreams for the year ahead.

Snowdrops, heralding in the floral year.

Things to Note:

A little stretch in the evenings, the first lambs in the fields, spring bulbs emerging from the frozen ground, warming your hands in the morning with cups of tea, buds of white and gold emerging on the ditches, hail and sleet showers, and the crisp footsteps across the frosty morning grass.

All my love, Kirsten
